By the “Site-specific” installation of Resonance of the Unforeseen, Ivana Franke asks questions about the concept of public memory and borders of visual reality, transforming the music pavilion into a public secret and adding a new meaning. From a distance, a supposedly solid structure of grey colour is nothing alike – actually it is a web with a drawing of vertical black and white stripes, and the material moves even in slightest winds. As the visitor approaches the installation, they notice subtle “moiré” effect, and the supposed strength of the installation disappears. Franke reacts to the well-known appearance and collective memory – that what is reminisced as a music pavilion is not gone for a month – it is present in recollection all the time. After this exhibition, public will perceive a well-known toponym of the pavilion from two perspectives.

Music pavilion dresses in a classical scaffold, on top of which comes a fabric that forms the visual installation. The architectural solution deals with non-intrusive juncture of scaffold and fabric by simple tools. Radial double rods uniformly arrange across the top and bottom of the scaffold. The inner one is shorter, outer one longer, and are joined by classic connectors. On their end, three types of steel plates are welded carrying the radial rail on which appears the front and back plan of the artistic canvas.
